On the evening of October 22, 2017, 32 groups of contestants from senior 2 delivered speeches titled “Remain true to aspiration and join hands to make a journey.

All the contestants are fluent english speakers, approaching the topic from different perspectives, “ dream”, “prosperous China” and “the power of China”,etc. Most speakers gave their speeches with good pronunciation, clear articulation and proper body language. After a fierce competition, 4 groups of  contestants got the first prizes, and they are Ren Xianyun, Qin Liyan from class 1, Chen Yanjun from class 10, Su Xuemei from class 20 and Yang Xingyue from class 6. Other groups of contestants got the second and third prizes respectively.

  At the end of the speech contest, Mrs Zhang made comments on contestants’ performance. She said all the contestants are brilliant and did a good job. Meanwhile, she suggested that contestants should be more confident and relaxed while giving a speech, and try to make speeches more attractive. At last, she encouraged all the students to attend english corner to practice oral english.
